Life in another state
Jesse and I are getting our new place next Friday. We've been living in Nevada for two weeks now and I only see my husband for 4 and half hours before he goes to work. It's kinda lonely. Once we get the duplex signed over to us I should have plenty to do.
I miss my mom and siblings.I miss good Asian food and good shopping malls.
Jesse's aunt and uncle are nice people but they're also Republicans. They are very Republican and complain about everything. I can't live in a household where they think its okay to use a derogatory word like rag-heads. I can only think what they think about me being a Mexican. Whatever.
We're going down to Irvine next weekend to pick up all of our stuff. My mom is giving me a dining table and chairs. I really want to decorate our house in the shabby chic style but I don't know if Jesse will be okay with it. We need to buy a fridge, washer and electric dryer. It's a nice duplex. It flows well and all the rooms are separated. Luckily we only share one wall with the other renter. We even have our own backyard so I can make a small garden in the spring.
I'm learning to stay up late waiting for Jesse. He gets home at 2 am. We sleep until 10 am and he goes to work at 2:30 pm. He's been working overtime which is great because we'll have some extra money.
I guess I'm finally growing up huh?
