And we're almost in the week of countdown...
Eight days left. Well, until the due date. I have my next appointment on Friday, and I'm due on Sunday (Mothers' Day, May 14). How fitting, eh? Geez, I should've just been labelled to give birth on Labor Day. Or, Suffering For At Least Twenty Four Hours And Several Days To A Few Weeks Afterward-Day. Anyway, back on track--Tomorrow starts the countdown week. This kid HAS to come on time. If he's early, I don't get my tubal ligation. If he's late, I won't have enough time to recover before we move to Texas in mid-June. If he's a she--dammit, don't get me started on that! I saw sausage and biscuits on three different ultrasounds, at three different points in time, so there's no excuse for such a catastrophe to happen.
The list of things I need is growing, and the list of things I need to do is growing exponentially. I can't wait to be in a hospital bed, in a clean room, not taking care of a family. Just occasionally feeding my new kid, in (for the most part) peace.
