religion rant
so i was surfin the web, y'know, doin the whole google thing, and i typed in wicca. scroll down a ways and found some site that caught my interest, click on it. the entire thing was a rant about wiccan's and how they are basically against the bible and stuff that was just irritating me to DEATH.
i got so incredibly pissed.
for one, i dont go around saying that christianity is the workings of evil and that they're bringing a freakin apocalyptic ending down upon our heads. why the hell do others have to do that kind of thing to something that i've found spiritually enlightening?
and it said there is no such thing as a good witch. how can they know me if they dont even try? i know i've made my share of mistakes in my life, and then some, but i generally dont think of myself as a bad person; in fact, i believe that there is good in everyone. ALSO they kept mentioning the bible, and asked who are you going to believe, a witch, or the bible. i dunno about you, but personally if i had a friend come up to me and say they were a witch, even if i were christian, i'd still love them because THEY ARE MY FRIEND and as long as they were still the same person on the inside, then that's all that would matter to me. and besides, why should everyone believe in some book that screams "I AM THE TRUTH AND WHAT I SAY IS ALWAYS RIGHT AND IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IN ME YOU WILL DIE OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN A VAT OF MELTING FIRE!!!" ?! seriously.
"We define good or bad in relation to the Bible and the Bible ALONE." yeah? well what if i shove that damned book up somewhere that doesnt see the light of day? ya still think so???
and evidently sex is bad. yes bad. stop doing yourself right now. baaaaaaaad. seriously, if people didnt have sex, cuz they wanted to be good or whatever, dont ya think that the human race would kinda go byebye? no. sex bad. baaaaaaaaaaad. thats part of why i like wicca, is because they celebrate life and rebirth and fertility. why must it be so bad for a woman to get pregnant? is it so awful to have a child? when i see a pregnant woman, i think, how wonderful it must be. sure, there's tons of pain and agony through it all, but in the end isnt it worth it? i know that someday i want to be a mom, and i find it frustrating when i hear someone gossiping to another about a woman that's gotten pregnant.
another thing the article rights is that the whole pagan belief is based off of FICTION, and that's exactly how they write it: FICTION. well, dontchya think that just maybe the whole entire bible was just a load of stories as well? just possibly? FICTION. what a pain in the ass.

now personally i think this simply means that everyone has a side of them that they dont always share with others, and that to see all facets of the world we also have to not turn a blind eye to this part of ourselves but embrace it.
wicca is something that is full of love and inner peace; about finding yourself in this madness that some call the world...
i just wish that i could do something to drastically change the world. our waters are being drenched with large amounts of crap and the like, our forests are being torn asunder, people are killing each other...i mean, i just dont understand it at all. maybe i was never meant to, but still. i want to make a mark on the world.
