One of the 10 worst experiences of my life
I had the day off today as I needed to go renew my driver's license. That ordeal was over rather quickly due to my having made an on-line appointment a week in advance.
I'd finished making a double batch of quinoa tabbouleh and the hubby was catching up on Game of Thrones so he would be ready for tonight's group viewing when I decided to go clear up our day lilies. The early summer bloom was a few weeks ago so I needed to cut the dead flower stalks.
We have four large plants and I was working on the third one when I stepped further into the flower bed and felt something hard under my feet. When I pushed the leaves out of the way, I found one of the stray cats we feed had crawled under the bush and died. I've never screamed so loud in my life....
I'm going to have nightmares tonight, I just know it.
