Today was a good day.

Things have been ok today. I think it has something to do with massive baby cuddling. Amber and Terisa were both really huggy and kissyfied today. I like that...Terisa has always been a lovey baby, but due to Amber's specific special needs, she isn't. So, when she does want to be loved on, I enjoy every second and soak it up.

Just like when she said Mama for the first time. Most moms don't wait 3 years for that. Now it's one of her favorite words! Honestly, most moms get tire of hearing 'mama mama mama' all day, but as much as she can irritate me with it, it still makes me smile inside.

Speaking along the lines of Amber, she has come such a LONG way with her speech since beginning school in Sept. She hardly spoke any true words then, no matter how hard I tried to do everything I read up on. She said a few things, but mostly communicated with sign language and pointing. Her therapy helped a little, mostly for Rob and I with coping and with Amber to learn how to communicate a little better.

NOW, she is such a little Jabberwocky! Her receptive language is well up to her age level, which I always knew it was, but her evaluation last week proved Rob and I were right. She understood everything that was said to her, just like we told the evaluators all along. :-) Nice to be vindicated. She is also using multiple words, if not perfectly pronouced, still wonderfully approximated. Most people do need to listen to her a bit before catching exactly what she is saying, but...they can figure it out! At one time, that owuldn't have happened. I'm so proud of my girl.

Terisa is doing good with her speech, too. She loves her big sister with a passion and it really shows. When she wakes up in the morning, the first thing she does is go...'Ahhhhhhmmmmeer' a few times. If it's the weekend or other day school is out, she gets the reply..."cow cow!". lol. And man, does she know when it is time for Amber to get off the bus. Thanks to her big sissy, she also knows some signs and how to say almost everything Amber does.

Ugh. Christmas Tree. I'll talk about THAT one day. I'm just too sick of hearing that one to even explain, lol!

We found out today that the order for our Dell wasn't finalized properly, so now we have to wait even longer for it to get here. Can you say Suckage? Oh well. Life happens.

Other than that, not too much going on. Ghosttec is still going ok, Rob may have another Dentist contract. Cross your fingers for that one. He'll be going to a swap meet next month and sharing a booth with Lisa, the Leather Shop owner. I hope her site gets plenty of business from that. She has so much stuff to get rid of, she's talking about bartering and negotiating prices just to liquidate.

hint hint. If you need leather coats, shoes, or anything, go HERE for a really good deal. Don't like a price? Make an offer viz email. www.therighteouswear.com

Yes, I am plugging it, cuz she's a great person AND cuz I am going to be learning how to do what she does starting Wed.
