I agree-political corectness is out of control in the US. Obviously it's important to respect other races,religions etc but we shouldn't have to walk on eggshells all the time. Damn, I had no idea you were part black-you definitely don't look it though I can see the Indian. I think it's cool to have a mixture of ethnicities in your background. Too bad I don't unless you count being descended from a fairy...wonder if I can get any minority benefits to go back to college?

The black comes from the indian. Lumbess hid slaves and many married into the tribes. Hence my 'blackness'. Some of us Lumbees look downright african, some look whiter than me, with blue eyes and all.

i am guilty of the pc thing...
my kids are taught to say People of Color or Persons of Color or Person of Color
and differently abled (for handicapped)

then there is my best friend... who is Cambodian ... and she refers to her one child... who has darker skin than the other 3... as ..."My one black kid."
She hates her skin and the fact that she is Cambodian ...
I think she is beautiful.
