Looks like things aren't as dire as I thought they were. I went and talked to the building manager for our place today, and she gave us a couple of options which do NOT include eviction! This kind of info makes me less worried. It seems we have a bit of breathing space, not a huge amount, but a bit is better than nothing!

I'll let you guys know more when I know more.
