First post of the new year
Kind of late, I know, but I am somewhat of a procrastinator. :P
Our last full day in Austin. :( I don't want to go back to the cold weather! Still, we had a good time. We spent another day out at the shooting range, shooting a rifle and a shotgun as well. That was an interesting experience, as the rifle I was shooting had no scope. The target was at 50 yards. I managed to get a couple of good hits. The shotgun was a little harder - it was heavier than the rifle, and I actually had to hold it versus sitting at a target station. We were shooting skeet, but I only managed to wing a few.
We also managed to make it to some of the restaurants featured on the Food Network, as well as the Travel Channel. Round Rock donuts, Juan in a Million monster breakfast tacos, and Kreutz (?) barbecue were all on the menu.
Ahh, Phantom of the Opera...got sucked into a late night showing on New Year's. It's been a while since I watched it. It still holds a personal record of 8 times at the movie theater.
