In his billowing cloaks and many layers of grey, black, and white, looking down at the figure before him. He was surprized at the fact that this one would not relent, he desired her and feared her. What she could make him, how she could break him. "So, how are you liking the Labrinth?" he ask.
She gazed defiantly up into his glorious eyes, one winter blue like ice, the other like liquid chocolate. "It's a piece of cake."
Devoured by the passion in her dark amber eyes, he was ready to admit defeat. He was ready to throw the whole thing away for her love and her's alone. As quickly as her passion held him, his anger set in. He would not give into anyone, including her. "Well, maybe you'll like this little slice."
Drawing a crystal ball from his robes, he rolled it over his hand and then threw it far into the tunnle. While she was distracted, he swept away to avoid any pain the following scene might cause him.
Watching the ball arc through the air and disappear into the dark tunnle, she was soon filled with a dread fear. He was not going to make this any easier for her and it seemed her smart-assed comment only angered him. She turned back to look at him, only to find him gone. Looking back down the tunnle she heard the sound of metel screetching on stone. Hoggle grabbed her hand while she stood there in shock. This man- This Gobblin King, whom she loved and whom she thought loved her had thrown the cleaners at her. She would be lucky to get out of this alive. Through all of her fear and panic, the thing she felt most was betrayal. How could he do this to her?
Sitting in his throne admist his Globblins, he could not help but feel remorse and a strange sadness come over him. Him, The Gobblin King, who had turned children into his hidious followers, who had creatures purposefully detour and detain people trying to get through the Labrinth, felt for the first time in his life sad, sad because he could not go back and save her, sad because he had sentenced her to an almost certain death. He had ordered the death of his love and didn't realise until now, how much he had come to enjoy the next encounter with this impossiblely difficult maiden.
He finally understood what it was to love and feel regret.
yes... it is from none other then the Labrinth and yes I did just write a love story between them. I think I sorta like it this was.... with them loving each other. I mean... who could resist David Bowie as the Gobblin King? Not me, thats for sure.
