Life is a funny thing. No particular reason for saying that, but I'm amused by the way things shift and tilt as I meander on my way.
It's been ages since I used this account and I'm not quite sure why I keep it. It's kind of like a diary that is half used and gets stuffed under a stack of bits and bobs in the bottom drawer of your desk. Funny that when you find something like that you say, "Oh yes- this! I really liked this! So why did I stop writing in it?" I suppose I could take a moment to think about why I started using it in the first place.
1. It was a way to stay connected with kinfolk of one sort or another. Reading about daily life blessings and burdens was a way to stay in touch and close with them.
2. A sharing of information and new ideas. I loved the way I was guaranteed to read something interesting each day. And if I needed help with something, my LJ community always came up with something helpful or at least entertaining.
3. An easy place to read multiple feeds, such as Neil Gaiman's blog.
4. A place for reflections on my own experiences, especially when I needed an outside-of-me perspective.
5. It was fun!
Hmm. I'm sure there are more, but those are the first ones that come to mind. I guess it comes down to the fact that even though I've neglected this account, I'm really not ready to ditch it. So on that note, I suppose I'd better update my profile, grab a cuppa tea and dive back in...
i'm back!
