We are failing our veterans as care providers and communities AND we don’t have to. In this workshop we will explore the essential steps that can make healing from the unique wounding of war a healing journey. Key to this is understanding PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) as incomplete, interrupted initiation and how veterans, their healers and the community can support the completion of that initiatory experience. Our goal is to understand-as veterans and the community they return to-the qualities of a mature warriors and what we each must sacrifice to create them. Shaman and teacher, CHRISTINA PRATT, is the author of An Encyclopedia of Shamanism. Veterans, their family members, and care providers are welcome. Those who know how to journey should come prepared to do so.
