Two Arrested After Man Catches Decoration Vandals On Tape COLERAIN TOWNSHIP -- A Colerain Township man caught a pair of Christmas decoration vandals on tape, and now two men in custody in relation to the vandalism.
Matt Williquette said someone slashed his family's 12-foot-tall inflatable snowman in his front yard two weeks ago, then again last week.
When the vandals returned again Sunday night, one more eye was on them: Williquette's newly-purchased wireless video camera.
The short video shows two young men slashing and stabbing the snowman.
"I don't know what to think about it. Out of all the decorations, I don't know why he had something out for this one. I don't know if it's because he's the biggest one in the neighborhood or if he just doesn't like snowmen," Williquette said.
Williquette said a screwdriver was left behind after one of the attacks.
Hamilton County sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Snell, 18, on Monday after he was identified as the more visible person in the video. Snell has been charged with criminal damaging.
Deputies said Nathan Daniel Ayers, 18, turned himself in to deputies just before 3 p.m. He also faces criminal damaging charges.
The sheriff's office said a pair of teenagers were charged with criminal damaging in a separate incident on Monday.
The 15- and 17-year-olds are accused of taking a plastic candy cane decoration from a Colerain Township home and smashing it against a car, doing $1,000 in damage.
