Yesterday I gave you the Harbour Bridge from up close; here it is again from a distance, with some photogenic stuff in front of it.

The pictures below were all taken at or from Mrs Macquarie's Chair, a part of the Royal Botanic Gardens which commands a great view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. They also have some magnificent old trees there, sadly mostly hemmed in by ugly fences, picnic tables and the like.

The toning on this series was an experiment. I sort of like it, but I'm not sure I'll be using it again.

I groaned when the girl in the bottom left corner walked into my shot, then let out a small shriek of delight when she stopped to take a picture. Let's just say she was a welcome intrusion.




Probably the most scenically located angler I've ever come across.



And then there was this old ship doing the rounds of the harbour... and some rocks...

I still can't believe I actually walked on the upper arch of that bridge!



Finally, this one is for taotianone, who has a thing for artsy, clichéd branches framing a shot. Heh. :-)
