Like last year, I was planning to present you with a massive Year-in-Review post around this time of year. Like last year, I've had to cancel that plan because I'm simply too busy finishing my translation and preparing for my upcoming holiday to write anything more than a short, nonsensical post. Suffice it to say 2006 was a decent year for me -- a bit more enervating and stressful than I would have liked, a bit less productive writing-wise than I had hoped and a bit fuller of minor heartbreaks, lost photos and dental trouble than I really care for, but generally good. Here's hoping 2007 will be even better, both for myself and for everyone reading this.
Since I haven't got time to write a proper End-of-Year post or to edit any arty photos, I'm going to wish you all a Happy New Year in three dodgyish travel snapshots.
In 2007, may you always...
... be firmly anchored (white-sand beaches and clear turquoise water optional)...
... have plenty of good food to eat and great company to eat it with...
... and always have plenty of colour and occasion for celebration in your life.
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2007 will be brilliant for you.
