Thai statues (part 1)

About half a year ago, I posted a previous incarnation of these photos to a travel photo community and made the terrible mistake of calling the statues and their background tacky. In the discussion which followed, I tried to explain to a South East Asian girl that to my rather austere eyes (hey, I'm from a Protestant country!), the combination of ( Read more... )

statues, architecture, thailand

I luv your pictures. You have a great eye, you know.

In my next life I´ll marry you and shizunde will be our schnauzer dog only fed on cous cous icecream! I swear.

*hehe*

Seriously, I really need to visit Chiang Mai. Last christmas we choose between Chiang Mai and Angkor Vat and the lather won.

Ha. I would have done something like that, but you beat me to it. :-)

Oh, well. While you were being funny, I saw Holland beat Ivory Coast. We've made it to the second round. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Aw, thanks, Göran. You're too kind. I was more or less planning on marrying Clive Owen or David Wenham in my next life, but if you promise shizunde will be part of the deal, I'll consider your proposal. Even if I don't really like dogs. Quite frankly, shizunde as a cat would suit me better. We could consider as universalist a second cat, or possibly a pet rabbit. How does that sound to you?

I think you made the right choice last Christmas. Chiang Mai is great, and definitely worth visiting if you ever go back to Thailand, but Angkor is, you know, Angkor. A different order of magnitude.

Finally, good try on the couscous ice cream. You still got it wrong, but you're making progress. :-)

dammit, I was gonna be no average Joe, there was supposed to be a space between ice and cream too :-)

shizunde is more of a cat, true but the dog setup is of importance because I think some discipline here. universalist would be the perfect snuggly pet bunny! malady_dome is an egyptian cat personified.

Lord, I´m gonna have to change username soon...

Heh. malady_dome as an Egyptian cat? I like that. Yes, I think this set-up would work. Add miss5am as a chameleon or an iguana and the household will be complete!

What? You object to being a chameleon, or something? In such a happy household?

Aw, come on, it will be fun. I promise I'll look after you well. You'll get the occasional bit of couscous ice cream, just like everybody else, but you won't have to live on it if you don't like it. There'll be bumblebee ice cream, as well!

No, no objections but it might wreak havoc with my vegetarian ways. I do have all the chameleons moves and expressions down to a fine art though, having one to teach me his chameleon-ways and all. A happy household I'm sure :)

I think I'll pass on the couscous ice cream though. Maybe tofu silkworms might do the trick. You will have to wiggle them in front of my nose for me to be interested though, otherwise I may just starve! Gah, this almost sounds obscene ;)
LOL

Er... we could consider universalist as our second cat.

Blame it on World Cup excitement. :-)

Yeah, what happened to your legs?

It looks we're both experiencing leg trouble at the moment. I had a bit of a toe accident last week, which is still bothering me and may continue to do so for a while. I seem to have entered an ECP (Extremely Clumsy Phase). I hope it won't last too long...
