Quick update
So, it's been a while since I posted anything here!
Life is going well at the minute. I've only got seven weeks of work left before my maternity leave starts and I can't wait to have a bit of a relax, start my studies, sort the house out and stop worrying about all of the work at Precise. Work is crazy hectic at the moment, due to some good new clients and some staff departures. Thankfully August is usually the quiet month for us, so hopefully we'll be able to catch up with the madness this month and things will be nice an calm for them when I leave.
I've got two days off work today and tomorrow! The weather is looking lovely today, so that's a good start. Basically I just took them so that I could use the last of my holiday allowance, it was either take them now at the start of the Olympics, or use them around the August bank holiday - I tried to put them at the end of the month so that work is slightly less busy! This morning I've got a couple of blood tests to have at the doctor's, including one for gestational diabetes that basically requires me to eat a fairly large breakfast, wait two hours and then have my blood sugar taken. I'm not really all that worried about the results, I don't think my recent brain wandering has been due to difficulties processing food! But I guess I'll see what happens in an hour.
After the blood test I'm going to wander to Tesco, grab some nice salad type food and prepare a healthy spread for lunch as I've invited Hannah and Dave over. Owen's in work today, so I asked them to come over just before he would be home for his lunch so that I can feed them all at the same time. But as I'm doing a salad buffet it doesn't really matter if they are late/early/not hungry yet, everyone can eat when they are ready to - certainly noon would be a very early lunch for me on a normal day off (but given that I finished my breakfast at 7, it isn't too early for me today).
Tomorrow I have a midwife appointment first thing and then the day to myself. I've no idea what I'm going to do. I know I should do some housework and probably try to do some writing, I may end up wandering into town or going for a nice long walk somewhere pretty. Especially if the weather is as nice tomorrow as it is this morning.
