Not an ex-parrot.
So. It has been pointed out to me in an E-mail that I haven't posted anything in a very long time. Since early August, actually, when I was struck with a bout of vertigo that hung on for weeks and left me exhausted. And then I got an infection in my leg, which left me doubly exhausted. I think I'm getting better now, but don't hold me to it.
At any rate, my brain has been too tired to rub two words together, though I did manage to occasionally drop a comment here and there. But it occurred to me this week that looking at LJ has just been making me more tired. So I gave myself an early Christmas present and unsubbed from metafandom, which I suspect will ameliorate the problem, if not entirely correct it.
I apologize for the birthdays, etc., that I've missed. And thanks izhilzha and sallymn for the snowflakes! They made me happy. Also, more thanks and hugs to sallymn for the book weight, which came Wednesday. I love the contrast of the colors, it's very cheering; and everyone who's walked past my desk has remarked on its attractiveness.
Speaking of people walking past my desk... I'm rarely alone anymore (which may also account for some of the tiredness). They've changed my caregivers again ::mutter, grumble:: and the new ones are very talky. :( The Queen of Carrots and her family have moved back into town. It's holiday season, which always means more people coming and going. And now bibliohippo is coming to live with... somebody. Um. She sleeps upstairs at her grandparents, and studies and lolls about down here in the evenings. Having her here is enormously helpful for all of us, it's just that adding another geeky, messy person into the mix is a bit much for my overstuffed house. So starting this week, we're trying doubly hard to clear things out and make room for her. She'll hold something up and say, "Do we really need this?" and I'll say, "Umm....", and I feel like I'm watching an episode of Hoarders, LOL. :)
Anyway. I shall hit post now, while I have the energy to do so. Hello, world!
