Fulfilling spin1978 's request:
The ship came out of nowhere, trailing smoke and disgorging far too many men for the little village to fight off. Count Piotr and his men couldn’t get there in time to prevent the slaughter, but they were determined to avenge the deaths.
Bodies - mutilated long before death - piled high in the village square, bodies that were definitely not Cetagandian. One small, slight girl, dripping battle axe in hand. Somehow, she had killed them all, saved the village, and redeemed Count Piotr’s honor.
He took one look at her and said, “Mutant. Your mother should have killed you at birth.”
