new glasses
My glasses had started to fall apart recently - the tiny screws holding the frames together kept coming unscrewed, and I lost one of the nose pads somewhere along the way. No idea when or where that happened. These frames sure didn't last long, compared to all of the other frames I've had in my life. I don't know if that's because of all of the exercise I've been doing, or if the frames themselves were especially fragile. Anyway, I got new frames today. These seem more sturdy - they're plastic instead of metal (so lighter, too - bonus!), and no nose pads to lose. They're actually shaped kind of like the ones in my icon, just not as big. That's going to take some getting used to, because they're smaller than my last pair. They're also purple. I think they actually make my jaw look not as big, but I really have no confidence about my opinions about my face and body, so I'm really not sure. We'll see what the seniors say tomorrow - they'll let me know what they think!
