Review:
Considering I was expecting Level C when I watched the first episode of Level E, I rather liked this series on its own merits (though admittedly, it's got just as much male genitalia in it as Level C, I'm just sayin').

Ah, what to say about this series?

It's known as Level TROLL on 4chan, and it earns that title - the characters get trolled, the audience gets trolled, the trolls get trolled ... and it's delightful for it. It started out slowly, for me, not quite balancing itself between the lulz and serious plot, but by the time the Chromatic Warriors showed up, it had gotten itself figured out and shot straight to the finish. There were moving episodes, stupid episodes, and episodes all in between, all coming together into an ending that left me wanting MORE in that delighted "I like what I see here" kind of way.

Favorite episode: probably the mermaid. Favorite character: definitely poor, poor Craft. Favorite "wow I didn't see that coming": the two-episode arc with the woman going to the ski resort. It felt like it should've offended me. Instead, it gave me food for thought that I am still ruminating.

Not bad for a seriously stupid series. Stop reading this review and go watch it. Like right now.

List of all series I've watched can be found here.

seinen, real-life, fantasy, anime, sex-e, mystery, high school, action, supernatural, 2011, vio-t, humor, sci-fi, rewatchable
