Dual! is one of those old Tenchi/Eva spin-off series with big robots and lots of pretty girls. It's been so long ago now since I've seen it that I don't remember much about the plot, but I do remember that I liked it a lot. I'm not sure now if it would stand the test of time, as I've seen so much anime since then. I know that we still quote bits of it, and the scene in ep 1 or 2 where the boy is standing in the entryway to the high school describing to the girl the mecha battle he's witnessing has stuck with me as one of the coolest things ever.
Good stuff. Good vintage mecha anime. ♥
