Yes, I can picture an aging AIDS couple in this. Heartbreaking because of the illness, heartbreaking for the depth of love they feel for each other.

Mmm, it makes me wibble to think about turning these two into original characters, because they'd fit so well as an AIDS couple. I don't think we need more angst, and that would just push it over the top ...

Wow . . . you really show how *deep* the love for each other is here. A *lot* of tenderness in the way he's willing to care for and help Nash -- and the pain Belsio is feeling from seeing Nash suffer.

You *really* make a non-canonical pairing and non-canonical situation seem like it came right out of Arakawa's own mind.

You know, it's weird ... I started out with Belsio being all homophobic and straight and boring, but when he's with Nash, I just adore him. I think Arakawa had a lot of potential in her Xenotime characters, and it's a damn shame she didn't explore it more. *sigh*
