Well, technically Alice and Tom got a christmas tree yesterday. I spent the first half of the day on Bulmershe essay-ing (and then refused to stick around for the screening and so went home). MEANWHILE Tom accompanied Alice to town to provide moral support (Alice got a tattoo!!!) and got a phonecall from me suggesting that we got a xmas tree and went to the pub. Being the lovely people that they are, they volunteered to pck one up and braved a packed bus-ride home for xmassy joy.
It's NAVY BLUE. I was quite suprised, but then again i'm used to 7ft real christmas trees that are...well....green. They also picked up some silver baubles to go with it, and Alice bought me a chocolate friendship cake which was nummy <3 (Thank you again Alice! <3 <3 <3). We decorated the tree whilst eating cake and watching Muppet Christmas Carol and afterwards, the tree looked pretty damn good! I must admit, i had my doubts when they brought it home. Cas was in town so she came over and we all went to the pub for tea (this is sounding like a fairytale, well maybe it is! *Cheeeeeeeeeeeese*). It was really nice! Especially since Cas is going to be in the navy and therefore out of contact for a long time, this was one of the last few times we get to see her before she goes! :(
And then.....um......we stayed up, talking, google-earthing and listening to xmas songs (I STILL don't feel xmassy-joy though *sob*) and went to bed the end!
Tonight and the majority of tomorrow is going to be fairly dull though as i'll be stuck in on the essay :( BUT hopefully the book i got on essays will make it go faster! Plus i have Friday night JOY! So at least i've got that to look forward to :D *sigh* an hour until i have to go to the last seminar/uni thing of the YEAR (or the term depending on how dramatic you want to make it). I also need to pck up 'Singin' in the Rain' on DvD for me (for the essay, i know, slacker, shuddup)
God this post was full of cheese and smooshyness.
