And I have awesome friends

So I went to dinner the other night with some friends. Jane and Russell. It was really nice.

Jane and Russell are very good friends of John and mine. They have been through some really hard times recently. And John and I were able to help them out. We were very happy to do so, and were not expecting to receive anything from them in return. We told them that what we had given them was a gift.

So they invited us over to dinner on Tuesday night to say thank you. When we got into the house, John showed me a beautiful puzzle that Jane and Russell had put together and framed for him. It was beautiful. We'll be hanging it in the living room.

Then we had dinner. Yummy meatloaf that Russell made. He's an awesome cook. We're all going to get together and make a really good dinner sometime soon.

Then Russell and Jane had a surprise for me too. They had a bunch of boxes lining the dining room wall. In the boxes was a TON of baking stuff. From when Russell's mom used to make wedding cakes. And they gave it all to me.

Probably $2000-3000 worth of stuff for the bakery that I can use to make cakes. I was completely overwhelmed. I think I was completely speechless for a while. I didn't know what to say. Of course I said Thank you, and then cried.

They gave me an insane amount of things. I'll make a post later with a list of the things that they gave me.

I really really appreciate all of it. I am so grateful. It means even more to me too, because they were Russell's mom's. It makes me feel even more like family. I know this is something that they would not have wanted to go to just anyone, so it means alot that they went to me.

Jane, Russell, Lizzy, and RJ (and of course Wayne and little Wayne) are all like extended family. I feel so blessed to have such good friends!
