PLEASE HELP!!!
So I was asked by a friend to post this for another friend.
My friend Drea, who has been working her ass off for this, has recently been told that she is going to have to withdrawl because she doesn't have enough in donations. Apparently the word isn't getting around and people can't help. Here is her Plea:
PLEASE SUPPORT BOOBIES!!
You would think a girl like me who keeps getting sick would have more sense than to volunteer to walk 60 miles. Well, I guess I don't, because when my mom challenged me to walk with her this year, I agreed. It's called the Breast Cancer 3-Day. I am going to be walking…or crawling, yep, I say crawling, 60 miles over the course of three days, for a cause devoted to helping women discover breast cancer early enough to beat it and committed to finally finding a cure. As a condition of participation, I must raise at least $2,200 (total). All proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Last year approximately 4,500 women participated in this event in San Diego; a quarter of those women were survivors!! We should strive so that no woman has to become a fighter or survivor of breast cancer and instead eliminated all together! So, yes, this is a plea for your emotional and financial support. A dollar for every mile that I'll be walking would be wonderful. I thank you in advance for whatever you can give; any little bit helps.
