Update in short form...maybe
So things have been insanely busy!
Firstly I am taking a cake decorating course so that I can have Technical training instead of being all self taught. It's fun. John is doing it with me. He's surprisingly good at it! I might just have to use him when it comes to making cakes!
Second I am working on stuff for the festival. Awaiting my pile-o-garb from Hez (which I know may be some time cause there's lots of it!) Looking for head coverings or some such things, cause now I have to have my head covered, no matter what. Working on Characters and such. It's going to be much fun! I can't wait!
John got a new job. Not sure yet if it's better than his old one yet. He's been training this week, and will probably be on his own next week. I think it seems worse than it will be, because the trainer who John is training with has been the only guy doing this for a while, so he's a little bitter. John's supposed to talk to his manager today and find out what the deal is though, cause it appears that he was hired for something different than what he was told. It's still wait and see right now at this point.
I am taking a weeks vacation in July when we have the kids, just to hang out in the city and do stuff with them. I can't wait. I am counting the days.
We go get the kids from Illinois on June 30th and then the ex picks them up on July 28th or 29th. So we get them for a whole month! It's very cool! We're looking forward to it! And in that month while we have them, my brother, sister in law and niece will be coming home for a little over a week, so we can hopefully have a family picture done!
There's much going on, but not a whole lot I want to talk about yet, so that's where I'll leave it!
