Mind maps

I posted to adults_add yesterday about mind maps, and got a fantastic response. Since lots of people there seemed to like the idea, I thought I'd put the info up here.

Here's a good example of how to draw a mind map for exam revision. The idea is that you put your central theme in the middle, the main topics branching off from it, and then additional themes branching off from there. The inventor of the technique has a really informative website with lots of examples, and the basic steps: http://www.buzanworld.com/Mind_Maps.htm

It's been a great technique for Guy, because it allows him to get all the details connected to the basic themes in a place where he can see them, and then use a linear process to pick out the steps. He's still learning, but it's changed how he does everything. I hope it inspires and helps you!

add, in my skin, inspiring, guy
