Two more days until Christmas eve. Until then, I must
- Find a gift for my baby bro. We share an inexplicable fondness for trains (growing up in China with relatives scattered in every city does that to you, I suppose), and he hinted at wanting one with all the subtlety of a trainwreck (...lol) - so I already know what I'm looking for. The real challenge here will be scouting for the best bargain: Dollarama is out of the question, because this just ain't the right time of year to be stingy, and Mastermind is a little too - upper crust for my budget. If you live in the GTA, please recommend an affordable children's toy store.
- Learn to cook up some tasty Szechuan cuisine for my parents. As I have failed to boil eggs in the past, my cooking ability does not exactly inspire confidence. the scarborough takeouts can duly expect a visit from yours truly at the very last minute.
- Pick up some intimate, meaningful (read: inexpensive) gifts for my friends. ...no doubt they'll be doing the same for me, lolol
After Christmas, we can all relax and enjoy ourselves. AND DON'T YOU KNOW IT, I HAVE A PLAN FOR THIS AS WELL:
- Boxing Week
DAY 1, 26th: Downtown/Eaton-raiding with friends.
- DAY 2, 26th: More Downtown/Eaton-raiding for the stuff we hesitated to buy the day before.
- DAY 3, 27th: STC-raiding to meet up with some old high school friends.
- DAY 4, 28th: Possibly skiing, possibly Vaughan Mills-raiding to meet up with other friends.
- DAY 5, 29th-30th: Either family quality time or pre-New Year's Party
- DAY 6: 31st: (see previous) Either family quality time or New Year's Party
- DAY 7: Snowboarding trip!
As I am infamous for coming up with tl;dr plans and immediately forgoing it once the list is finished, half of the shit I've written in this post will probably be forgotten. BUT IT'S WORTH A TRY, BEING STRUCTURED FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE. god I make an awful asian
