1) Total volume of music files on my computer? 2.17 GB (is that a lot? I'm not very l33t)

2) The last CD I bought was...? Goat's Head Soup by the Rolling Stones- it's ok, I've been really getting into Mick Taylor-era Stones lately, and I like it, but I think that it's a little to slow for my tastes. Very herion-y album. Although tomorrow I'm going to buy Devils and Dust by Bruce Springsteen.

3a) The last song I listened to before writing this was...? "All I'm thinkin' about" by Bruce Springsteen. I illegally downloaded this song. It's from his new album and it's pretty darn good. Although falsetto Bruce is something that is taking some getting used to.

3b) Song playing right now is...? "I live for you" by George Harrison. It's a bonus track on the reissue of "All things must pass" just a gorgeous song.

4) Five albums I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me...?
(in no particular order)

1. The Soft Bulletin by the Flaming Lips. I think that this is such a gorgeous album, and quite the meditation on love. I guess I am in a big ol' loveing mood lately, so this album has crept it's way back into my life

2. Time out of Mind by Bob Dylan. The flip side of The Soft Bulletin a meditation on loss and mortality. Gorgeous. Bob has grown into his voice and I love it. Probably the only Bob Dylan album that I can put on and listen to all of the songs.

3. Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen. I am a sucker for big productions and this is Bruce doing a complete Phil Spector rip off. Great stuff, and larger than life sounding.

4. Love You by the Beach Boys. This record is what love sounds like. It's flawed, Brian Wilson's voice is imperfect, it goes flat. The songs are chilish, innocent, and pretty darn uncomfortable to listen to at times. I love it.

5. Clarity by Jimmy Eat World. Let's just preface this by saying that I hate Jimmy Eat World. They reek of careerist mall pop shit. But with that being said, this record is damn near perfect. Big huge gorgeous hooks, amazing harmonies, heart breaking lyrics, interesting mood and tempo changes. Good stuff. This record should've made them millionares. Instead they made an easier to get record. They could've been the next Big Country, but instead they turned into the next Rick Springfield.

5) people to pass the baton to and why- ummmm

I'm just going to put some people off of my friends list on here, because I'm not really sure
