Analyze Your Character (history and personality included) Within 400 Words:
England is, first and foremost, an irritable old man in the guise of youth. He's been alive for almost two millennia and though he denies its effect on him, it's there: in his tendency to keep what would've been useful yesterday but are trinkets today, in his wistful recollections of past imperialism and glory, and in his overall manner (the stiff upper lip). His current identity is heavily mired in the World Wars and their aftermath; those were when his imperial ambitions folded, and when his dress sense changed: no more frills. Simplicity was best.
The Empire itself was an accident, though England's mindset during the pinnacle of it would probably beg to differ. He was at the helm of something grand and it was his responsibility to guide his colonies towards a better way of life. He didn't object to the mantle he had to shoulder, and wore it with pride. Sometimes, though, he wore it with anguish as well. Like when his beloved Thirteen Colonies-- in a fit of idealistic indignation-- declared independence. It culminated in a war where England eventually surrendered, unable to truly attack. He and his people thought the Empire would fold right then, but it didn't. He strove on to rule one fourth of Earth and bar France from achieving the same.
France is his archenemy and rival, once upon a time his unofficial ruler. Their relationship with each other remained sour throughout the ages; between them were countless conflicts and the two easily sparked arguments with one another. It was almost habitual. Despite his openly frigid manner towards France, though, England really did and still does admire French culture. He secretly likes the wine and cuisine he spurns, and even reads French literature when he thinks no one is looking.
He keeps himself well-informed-- not just about France-- because he likes staying on top of things. His ego and sense of duty doesn't allow him much leeway for incompetence, and he will (in a huff) prove he's still a nation worthy of respect. He plays as hard as he works, however, and when he drinks his temperamental side becomes obvious. Underneath the stiff upper lip is a very emotional nation. He often reacts before he thinks, no matter what he says to the contrary. His words are kindly if brusque to strangers, curt to annoying acquaintances, and almost nice to friends-- of which he has few.

Please respond to the following question in character(first person)-- Magic or science? Why? [a maximum of 150 words]:
On what basis do you ask this? ... ... If I had to pick one -- I would, naturally, pick science, as it is more pragmatic. From science you get results. Notably expected results. However ... nothing proves that magic doesn't exist. Can you deny the supernatural? Paranormal activity has no apparent, scientifically proven cause, yet-- yet it still occurs. Where science ends, magic begins. Where there's magic, the improbable is possible. It is that possibility that makes me believe -- and by God, you can't deny me that right.

Please respond to the following scenario in character(third person)-- You have just ingested a blueberry muffin at Spellbound Cafe that results you in hallucinating about giant Transformers buffing and waxing themselves. How would you approach these hunky robots in an attempt to be their friend, or at least get past them? [a maximum of 200 words]:
After washing down his mid-afternoon snack, Arthur stands to leave. To one of the waitresses he says, "Excellent muffin. Thank you for it." As he weaves his way out, however, he stops. "What the hell is that?" Robots out of a science fiction show were blocking the entrance. "I could've sworn you weren't there before. Bloody hell--"
"Excuse me," he states, approaching them. They look familiar now that he thinks about it. "Would you please let me through?" The robots don't respond. Feeling put on, he repeats his question more firmly. When they ignore him again, he taps his foot and turns to a passing waitress. "Is there some kind of party going on that I haven't been informed of? It's rather bad service --" She told him otherwise. He throws out a hand. "Then what are they doing here?"
"Who?" she asks.
"Those robots at the front entrance."
"There aren't any --"
"Don't say they aren't there; I can see them with my own two eyes. Now do something about them. It's your responsibility."
"What did you eat?"
"A blueberry muffin. What does that have to do with anything?"
She gasps and points. He turns, expecting relief from his situation and sees it. There's room for him to squeeze through.

I'm pretty flexible, so I'm sure we could work something out over PM or chat.
Personality: the England I play is sort of an irritable old gentleman who might have served in the army, once upon a time. He's very proud of his people-- and by extension, himself-- and feels he must be dutiful to them. He's also down to earth, at turns verbose and quick to get to the point, and loves his tea and peace and quiet.
Friendship: he'll happily be your friend so long as you don't offend his sensibilities. That, or get on his bad side. He's actually easy to get along with if you don't mind his sarcasm, quick temper, and tendency to be curt.
Romance: he's loved a great many people in his time-- mostly individuals under his flag-- and revered them. England, however, doesn't tend to be openly romantic. He likes being loved -- but won't be caught seeking it. As such, if you make advances towards him, don't expect him to return them sincerely unless he has strong feelings for you.
Violence: attack him with the expectation that he'll avenge himself in some way, shape, or form. He may be more of a gentleman these days, but that doesn't mean he can't be petty. He really knows how to hold grudges. That being said, feel free to knock him around a bit.
