excellent summary.

like i told you last night, this movie was so intriguing. It was one of those movies that could cause you to recall your own experiences and identify with the characters to the point where you wondered how your life would be if you had reacted the same way.

I was shocked by some of Michael actions because of my previous impressions of Zach Braff. OMG, I remember that moment when Michael was with Jenna in her parent’s house and both Geordie and I had are hands over our mouths thinking DON’T SAY IT…but he did.

Probably one of the best “romantic” scenes was when Kim and Michael are in the car and she is practically begging him to come upstairs and she says “I’m your last chance at happiness”. That was simply classic.

Geordie, I know you were surprised when I told you that Kim had a mix tape for Michael. I totally saw that coming a mile away.

But enough with the romance…how great was the bachelor-party scene “smell of syphilis”, when Izzy goes to Ari’s house in a rage, when Kenny leaves because his girl wants him to meet her parents “perfect timing”, when Casey leaves his wife, when Anna goes to meet the professor, when Michael is talking to Jenna’s dad “you can’t fail if you never give up”, and when Michael is on the porch in the rain…

I wrote that the ending was rushed as well. And it’s not like it’s too easy for Michael at the end it’s just too much of a JUMP. You know what I mean. But it’s a perfect ending for Kenny and Izzy in Argentina-that was beautiful!

i'm stocked to see it next year and find out how much they keep of the movie we saw last night.

I’m glad Ryan dragged you downtown. I had so much fun:

he didnt drag me. well, ok, he dragged me. but i had a lot of fun too, just not the losing glasses part.

when everything is getting ratcheted up in this movie, its amazing. the stakes keep getting higher, and its because of simple things, things that wouldn't work in a movie with another cast... but it just works so well in this movie because of the actors and the execution. chris not being able to lie becoming jenna looking for michael, then that set against michael being tempted by kim, then the explosion between michael and jenna, then kim calling, then him going over there... it just works so damn well.

also, the direction was real.. almost workmanlike. not flashy or show-offy, very simple and elegent... and just there to service the story. very well done. it was trippy to see the bad guy from ghost standing in the camino real. i was like 'oh shit, that dude hired willy to kill sam!' cept it kind of looked like the guy who hired willy's dad. still, trippy.

i wish i could see the movie again tonight. plus ive downloaded the songs i recognized and subsequently have not stopped listening to hide and seek. so awesome.
