James is still around, he is still working on his stool, which we finished weeks ago, he tried to attach the slats of the top of the stool with a pin gun, after convincing Paul that he should be allowed to, instead of screwing from underneath with superscrews like everyone else, this failed and he had to screw them anyway, the tutors have started discounting what he makes as it is worth less.
He regularly calls the tutor's names during class, every time he is confused, this happens a lot, he says their names the same way a primary school class pronounces the name of their teacher when the whole class says good morning, to the point where Nigel one of our more adventurous tutors mimics him by saying his own name back to him everytime he does it, he also calls him on his bullshit way more often, which I think is a good idea, as Gary is too polite and Paul is too friendly, which in both cases is no bad thing, just a lot of work on their part where James is doing very little thinking, or work for that matter.
James came over to my bench today, he was being generally annoying, because instead of doing what everyone else was doing, he wasn't, and declared he was bored and had nothing to do. Which is weird considering how behind he is. So everytime he spoke I decided to have some fun and loudly said (no matter what James had said) 'No James that is inappropriate, and you should think of farm animals that way" or 'No James you shouldn't say things like that about my sister' he kind of 'got the joke' but was flummoxed at first, when I slewed into 'No James and my Gay brother really isn't into that' he finally figured out what I was up to, but he took some convincing my brother isn't gay, so, gets there in the end but not so quick on the uptake, but it certainly felt better than just telling him to fuck off which is the point some people have reached.
Maybe I'm just too charitable.
