Bob Moog...he of the Moog...is dead. His inventions truly changed the sound of modern music. I say give it up for the micromoog, the rogue, the memory, the source and the mini along with lot's of other great inventions. I believe he took Leonard Theremin's invention to new levels. It's a sad day . Somewhere Rick Wakeman is sobbing. I remember working at the store and my friend Jerry would get phone calls from Bob. Jerry was a huge fan of the Moog synth and any gear he could find that Bob made he would buy. Moog synths became extremely out of fashion in the 80's. I wonder how many Yamaha DX-7 playing jerk offs pawned their Moog keyboards in that decade. I traded a shitty little Peavey practice amp for a micromoog at Scott Tennyson's on Monroe street(about a 50.00 amp). I probably could have resold that keyboard a few years ago for about 400-500 bucks. Very few keyboards can give that kind of hot fat analog ass. RIP Dr. Moog!
