Bad News First. Then The Good.

Well, my leave has hit a snag. I thought I would be coming home on the dates below, but apparently they conflicted with my supervisor who does the morning show. This would result in the only two people qualified to operate the radio being gone. Obviously, if this happened, life as we know it would cease to exist. Anyways, I just had to change my leave date back about a week. I actually am getting to stay an extra day at home now without using up a leave day. The bad part is that the fee to change my reservation is about 350 dollars. It's bad, but not too bad. So, it looks like I will now be home from June 24th to July 13th. Almost three weeks. Not too shabby

Last Friday I took my record PT test. Uusually that wouldn't be a big deal, but our First Sergeant has three waivers for promotion to Specialist and when he did PT with us a couple weeks ago we were told that our PT scores would be the main factor in the promotion process. Of course this meant it was imperative to do well. Well, I don't exactly know how I did it, but I managed to score a 288 out of 300. I scored over 90 percent in every category, which means I have been put in for an Army PT Badge. While that is pretty damn cool, the best part is that this is going to look great when the First Sergeant is handing out those promotions. I've got my fingers crossed.

Can't wait to come home and see everyone. Take care, from Germany.
