Oh, DINFOS!
Well, I had my pass taken away this weekend. Fortunately I'm still ok for Labor Day weekend. We had an inspection in our Class B's on Friday and we were also told our rooms and wall-lockers would be inspected. So I spent the night and that morning working my ass off to get everything SOP'd for the inspection. We are then told it's in-ranks, which means we go get in formation and they look at our uniforms and our appearance. Unfortunately for my platoon, we had the Company First Sergeant looking us over. When he got to me he asked if I had shaved this morning. Damn. In preparing my quarters and uniform I had completely forgotten to shave. So he took my pass away.
Time is flying by here. I'm almost done with radio now and about to move into television. Radio has been pretty much fun, especially learning how to run a radio station and produce different spots and shows. I'll miss it.
Football season starts in 5 days, but for me it doesn't start til UL plays on Sunday. Thank God it is Labor Day weekend because otherwise I would have had to be out of the TV room when the game was supposed to kick off. Now I can go to a bar or something and watch the game and maybe find another UL fan as well.
I ran 6 miles today in a pretty respectable time of 43:17. That's not too bad, but I need to get faster. I figure I shouldn't run 4.5 miles anymore and just run the full 6 every time. I also need to get back on track with the weights and working out. I'm hoping to be in the best shape I can be by the time I leave here. I'm already in the best shape of my life right now, so we'll see how much more I can improve.
