For all you Street Monsters out there...
Vimes is a copper. He's an old copper, which means he is a good one. A very good one. Which means he's seen pretty much every type of criminal there is out there, and he's very good at recognizing them. For a given value.
If you're a mad wizard bent on taking over the world, Vimes won't touch you with a ten-foot pole. (he doesn't mess with magic)
If you're some being from another dimension that isn't at least partly recognizable (i.e. dwarf, troll, human, some sort of undead), he's pretty much working with a blank map.
BUT!
If you are human, troll, dwarf, or were at one point one of those (including undead) then Vimes will be able to read you. And he is VERY quick about reading people, mostly because in his line of work a slow copper is a dead one.
SO!
For all of you who are playing characters that fit the above (and I don't mean thieves with hearts of gold. You'll just get asked to see your license from the Thieves Guild and his hands will be washed of it.) Please comment on whether or not you want Vimes to be able to rat you out. He won't know what you've done, or what you're planning to do, but it will mean he'll be keeping an eye on you and maybe warning people that you're probably Not That Nice. Then again, he might not. It all depends on what kind of danger you present to other campers. Either way, please comment and let me know the who/what/where/why and hows of your character. It will make Mister Vimes's life a lot more interesting. ^^
this is also my very sneaky way of discovering who all the Not Nice People are, since I don't know half the canons here
