A Room with a View

As I sit in the dim light of my grandmother's seasonal electric candle, colored lights adorning my walls, I look at the clock and can't believe what time it is and how the day has flown by. This leads me to think of other things such as, oh I don't know, how fast the SEMESTER has gone by. It truly is mindblowing, isn't it? "You never really stop to think how fast the years run, now they've taken you." What a great line, huh? It's "Fathers and Sons" by Stephen Schwartz, from the musical "Working". It is one of less than a handful of songs I've enjoyed singing in voice since I came to school.
Today was a good day. No, strike that. It was a GREAT day. My girl came home from NYC!! :) Very exciting to see her again, and hear her stories and all the wonderful things I missed even for the few days she was away. I rehearsed for Carley's ACTF performance, worked (for as little time as possible), then went to see Keely. Ahh, it's been a good day. We're going to hang out sometime soon.
I look around my room and I see all the things I still need to pack. I see that the several trips home prior to the final moment has made only a tiny dent in this complicated process of uprooting my life and taking it back to Fishers. I grow anxious to settle back in and look forward to spend most of break (a) relaxing (b) enjoying my family (c) making money at a job I absolutey adore and (d) faithfully, albeit painfully, watching my Hoosiers valiantly attempt to be competent on the court this season. :) Well, it can't be completely perfect.
I tried the "game" someone's friend suggested about selecting favorite lines from the first random 25 songs that play on a play list. Looking at the compilation of lyrics, it read like some bizarre love song. Truly unsurprising, right? ;)
