A/N: I’m back! That was a longer break that I had intended. Real life swallowed me whole for a bit there… But I’m baaaaack. And with plot!

Kurt chews his dinner slowly, barely tasting the food as it goes down. He’s trying his best to listen to his dad and Carol as they talk about their trip. He’s feeling twitchy and anxious. He just wants to disappear upstairs and crawl back into his bed. It takes a lot of energy to pretend to be alert and attentive. He’s smiling, nodding along and asking little questions when appropriate as always but it’s taking a lot out of him.

“So what did you boys get up to this weekend?” Carol asks, catching Kurt’s attention.

Kurt shrugs, plastering on another smile. “Oh, you know, nothing much,” he lies smoothly before forcing down another mouthful of tasteless food.

Kurt forces himself to stay downstairs after dinner. He doesn’t want to rouse any suspicions or cause any concern. He knows he wouldn’t hold up well under questioning, especially from his father. But the last thing he wants to do is tell anyone about this. He knows no one will believe him so keeping it to himself is his only option. So he stays downstairs to help with the dishes and even sits through a little TV. David seems to stay away when he’s with his family. The short absence is strangely unbearable. Eventually he can’t stand it anymore and has to excuse himself.

The first chance he gets, Kurt escapes upstairs to his room. He feels a giddy anticipation as he mounts the stairs toward the darkened hallway. The second he started upstairs, his anxiety disappeared. He lets out a little sigh of relief as he shuts his bedroom door. Immediately, he feels David’s presence wash over him, making his skin hum in pleasure. He pushes away from the door frame and stumbles toward the bed. He can feel David all over him, inside and out, as he’s pushed gently against the mattress. It hasn’t even been five minutes since he was downstairs watching TV and making idle chitchat with his family.

Kurt murmurs happily, shutting his eyes as David fills his mind with pleasant images. He instantly feels happier and more comfortable then he has all day since Finn got home. It’s another one of those things he knows he should think about more but doesn’t. It’s the first time he’s ever been compulsive. Usually he can think objectively but that skill is gone from this situation. David’s presence soothes some sort of turbulence inside him that he barely noticed before. Kurt slides under the covers and slips out of his clothes, a mischievous smile on his face.

Kurt is sitting in the back of his French class, leg bouncing up and down under his desk as he impatiently taps his pencil against the table. It feels like he’s been in this room for hours and it hasn’t even been twenty minutes yet. It’s the first class of the day and Kurt already feels like he’s about to snap. He doesn’t want to be here. It feels like he can’t be here, like it’s causing long term physical damage or something. Dinner with his family was nothing compared to this. He didn’t even think about having to go back to school last night. He didn’t think about much of anything, really. Except for the thoughts David supplied him in the dark of his room.

He glances back at the clock for the thousandth time. He hasn’t heard a word his teacher has said all period and hopes to god he isn’t called on. He looks back at his desk where he’s bouncing the eraser of his pencil against the surface. Every nerve in his body is screaming at him to get out of this room, to get out of the building.

Somehow, he manages to hold it together for the rest of first period. When the bell rings his whole body relaxes but only for a split second. Then he has deal with the hallway rush as students fly past to their next classes. Kurt goes slowly, in no hurry to sit at another tiny desk in another confining room. He feels as though he’s fighting against his body to get to class - his legs want to take him to the nearest exit. But he makes it to Algebra instead of the parking lot and begins the countdown again.

Second period is more difficult than first, somehow. Kurt really tries to pay attention to what his teacher is saying but the words seem almost muted. He just can’t focus on anything longer then a second or two. His thoughts fly immediately back to David waiting for him to come home. Have to get out of here, I have to get out of here…

Kurt gracefully excuses himself to the bathroom, hoping a few moments to himself will help calm him down. He hurries to the bathroom, shoving the door open with shaky hands. Thankfully, no one is there. He retreats to a stall any way, not wanting someone to come in and see him looking frazzled. He leans against the door to the stall and takes several calming breaths. I need to go home. he thinks frantically. I have to go home… He shuts his eyes and leans his head back. He’s a little afraid he’s going to have a panic attack in a bathroom stall.

He takes another moment of just standing there trying to breath before slipping back out of the stall. He heads toward the sink to splash a little cold water on his face. He stops still when he catches a sight of himself in the mirror. He looks exhausted and pale. It’s a wonder no one has asked if he’s sick head. He drops his eyes from his reflection and goes back to his task. He hasn’t really calmed down at all but he can’t hide in the bathroom all day either. His heart is hammering and his stomach feels hallow and twisted.

He pushes away from the sink and turns to leave the bathroom. He stops in his tracks again as a rush of dizziness hits him. Everything goes gray and fuzzy and he tries to fight against the feeling. He takes a step forward despite himself and the feeling gets worse. Everything starts going back as he turns a little, reaching out blindly him to grab the sink. His fingers slip paste the cool ceramic as his legs give out underneath him. Briefly he’s aware of the sensation of falling and then --- nothing.
