It's Christmas time, Charlie Brown!

I have come to the realization that I am a busy individual. I know this does not seem like a landmark epiphany that would herald on the ranks of the second coming of Christ, but, after examining my arduous schedule over the past several weeks -- Well, let us say I am impressed that I am alive.

I will not bore you with the stories of my schedule, but, I am glad their will be some recess in this current course. I am also fully aware of individuals who have equally, if not more taxing schedules than me (see: my girlfriend) and I certainly praise them for their stalwartness.

Although I had mentioned previously that I am busy, I am not so much constricted by my schedule that I have not had time to notice that Christmas is approaching rapidly. While there are lots of people out there who seem to be mockingly derisive to the holiday, my Christmas spirit has not faltered.

In addition to this being a Holy time for Christians everywhere, it is also a time that those estranged from the religious construct of Christmas can be brought together to celebrate tradition and be close to those whom they love.

As I grow older it is no longer the lure of presents that drive my love of Christmas, but, believe it or not it is the people that I see everywhere I go. During this season, everyone is out shopping, looking for the gifts they need for the people on their list. They need to be efficient, they need their Visa PLATINUM card and they most certainly need a venti chai tea latté to keep steam in the engine.

Although I have long since shed my belief in Santa Claus, the magic of Christmas is still there. It is in the eyes, hearts and minds of ever blessed soul I meet.
