The CEO of our new business segment/company is coming here today. That means that she's going to give us all the pep-talk about how all of the changes here are for the best and how we're all such troopers for hangin' in there through all this. I would be more cynical about it if it weren't for the fact that she's actually a really cool lady and when she tells us that stuff (unlike most of my other CEO/CFO/COO's) it sounds sincere. There's that, and the fact that all this "reorganization" resulted in my getting another week's paid vacation every year. So I'm good to hear whatever she's got to say (hell, it's an hour of the phones anyway).
Last night we did, well, nothing. Tonight we will be going about the business of building a table. I'm not sure exactly what it will look like or how it will be designed, but I'm leaving all that up to my hunny (It's a pottery thing). I'm excited, all the same. For me, building shit like this is the adult version of Legos (my absolute favorite toy when I was a kid). That's why I dig Ikea so much.
Hawaii is only six days away...I'm SOOOOOO excited to get the hell out of Dodge and hang out with warm sun, sandy beaches, and cool ocean waves...ahhhh...
