I just got back from a weekend at Las Vegas with my family to celebrate my 21st b-day... which was a while ago, but it's hard to just 'throw together' a trip to Vegas or anywhere for that matter when you family is scattered up and down California.

I rocked the blackjack tables. Nearly tripled my money the first morning (I started with 100 dollars). MUAHAAHA! Feeling pretty badass then I made one mistake that Vegas actually banks on. I gambled drunk later that evening until it was about five in the morning. No matter how slick you are, if you're drunk it's hard as hell to count cards. I sliced my winnings in half in a single evening and I was very very pissed. I was not so drunk that I couldn't count cards for my dad (which I did, and he won a LOT of money) I just couldn't concentrate on playing and counting at the same time. In any case, I went to bed all pissed off and I woke up the next morning... sober and I got some of my money back. Grand Total: $224. Starting from 100 dollars that's not too bad. What made me most happy was when I was hitting my big streak, my extended family occupied the other player positions, so they all bet high when they saw ME betting high, so everyone won... except Vegas!

We ate at the Bellagio, which is BAD ASS. Gourmet buffet. They had the best food I've had in the longest time. There's no way on earth I could be a vegetarian. They had a whole meat section that was sooooo tasty. Beef wellington, veal, duck... oooooh man, I had a little bit of everything. They also had some pretty awesome sushi (Nigiri style) which wasn't the BEST I've had, but it's the first time I've had ANY sushi in a long while so I was loving it.

I saw some paintings by Monet and some other impressionists (and some who were called 'realists' because they depicted the lives of the common people rather than gods/goddesses/mythological figures/nobility), which was also pretty awesome as I happen to like impressionist painings. I love paintings with energy and for some reason, impressionist paintings have the most energy within them (from what I've found, anyway).

EDIT: One last piece of good news: It's literally impossible for me to fail out of my Spanish class. I was COMPLETELY shocked at this (those who follow my journal will understand why), but we got our grades for the first time during the middle of last week (stellar teacher, huh?) and that grade excluded the assignments for the remainder of the semester and even if I did not turn in any other assignments for the rest of the semester and completely failed the final, I would still pass the class. I am SO HAPPY! WOOHOO!! My six year battle with the Spanish Language is finally over.

So, yep. That's it. woohoo and stuff.
