Codename Games Partnership With Monster Xing To Release Zombonie

Press release for my development team's partnership with Codename Games:

Codename Games is pleased to announce a new partnership with Monster Xing, the development team behind iPhone game Zombonie. Zombonie is a lighthearted, entertaining game about the brutal slaughter of zombies in a giant ice resurfacer roaring through the city, and was created by Jared Yeager and the Monster Xing team in his spare time away from his producing job at a major AAA publisher.

Codename Games is dedicated to a role of helping bring quality independent work to market, and supporting independent developers of all stripes in pursuing their dreams and goals. ‘The opportunity to assist someone working in the heart of the industry to pursue his design goals and gamemaking dreams is one I’m truly excited about. Codename wants to create pathways for gamemakers of all kinds, no matter their circumstance,’ said Jesse Vigil of Codename Games.

A passion project from within the core of the AAA industry, Zombonie brims with crunchy feedback, simple, lovely art, and clever use of the platform. Started in 2009 as an outlet for Jared Yeager’s creative expression and ideas, and to be released in early 2011, Zombonie will be available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
