So last night I was talking some guy about Bioshock and how it was a cool game and how making fun of Objectivism and fighting crazy jacked up freaks was a good time.
Then today I read about this.
So basically, these Libertarian jackasses want to Free Themselves From the Shackles of Democracy and go build floating platforms out in the middle of the damn ocean and sell drugs and manufacture stuff in violation of patents and make all kinds of neat-o pharmaceuticals and so forth.
Now, I'm all for Libertarians. Someone needs to be in that corner of things to act as a counterweight to, for example, me. Otherwise all of you would be forced to marry homos and give all your money to homeless people and crack babies while your guns were used to make playgrounds and stuff. They serve a purpose.
But once they start seriously planning to actually go start their own mini-nation, well, yeah. Bioshock. Only without all the cool parts. Just a bunch of people getting killed by a rogue wave or a hurricane or pirates or something because they didn't like paying property taxes just because some bimbo squeezed out a kid and now the thing has to go to school.
Also: I firmly believe that anything that this guy endorses is probably at the very least terrible.
