Feelin' pretty good, but tired...
...got back from the URI GSLIS Annual Awards Dinner a little while ago, networked, schmoozed like crazy, and got a $1000 Scholarship, which was awfully nice. Plus, as I was at the Dinner, I got a phone call from Providence Public Library for an interview for a job there, so that makes me extremely happy. I am really not liking retail anymore, and the longer it takes me to get into a Library position, the worse off I will be. So PPL interview = FTW! I also learned that although I didn't *need* to fill out my FAFSA, once i did I got like $10,000 for school, so I decided to take it and ditch the Private Loan I was originally going to take. So that was also a nice break. I am slowly getting the rest of my numerous school projects completed, and things are looking okay on the academic front. Now I still gotta register for classes for Summer and Fall, and figure out the plan for my summer months when I don't have school. I think relaxing by the pool reading manga ought to cover it, don't you? I lead a charmed (if occasionally lonely) life. At least my big sexy brain can keep me company during these cold spring nights.
