Help?

Anyone good with Routers? I got a new toy yesterday - my ASUS WL-500W router!

So, when I connect it to my Roadrunner cable modem, it can get an IP address fine. Here's the problem - traffic flows for maybe 30 seconds, and then stops. No pings work, nothing. I can release and renew the IP from Roadrunner, and traffic will again with for maybe 30 seconds.

This router is being used wired and wirelessly, but the LAN side appears fine. In troubleshooting this, I connected my old router to the cable modem, and then this new ASUS router to the old router. With this configuration, the ASUS router was able to pull a 192.168.x.x IP from my old router and everything worked fine - no traffic stops, no high ping times, it's all good. Also, I've upgraded the firmware on the ASUS router to the latest one, released in January of 2009.

Any ideas? Roadrunner was no help, which is no surprise since this doesn't appear to be a problem with their connection. Sad.

Thanks.
