So, after the SHIELD experiment, a somewhat curious notion occurred and appeals to me:

The idea of running an event in which people are invited to turn up as themselves, and be themselves. Only, as outlined through the brief/chargen process, they are actually Something Else that is attending the social occasion in the guise of their everyday self. ( Read more... )

Naturally, I will write them a detailed and personal brief on how to play themselves.

It may involve copying and pasting sections of their social media (Facebook/LJ) to tailor the brief.

(Though, knowing the limits of social media, the brief may be a poor/exaggerated reflection of a few facets of the individual...)

Or, y'know, they don't get a brief and I tell them to, well, be themselves.

A friend of mine used to play in a table top where the players played themselves, thrown into increasingly unstable RP worlds. She loved it.

I, clearly, am my own evil alter-ego.
