WHAT?! NO COMMENTS?! Surprise Surprise
BUT STILL I MUST PREVAIL!!!
Little late yeah, but I felt like complaining before the long day ahead of me. I have a heck of a long day, a literally 13 hour day from 8:00AM til 9:00 PM with a two hour break from 1PM-3PM in where I have to finish an English HW assignment I had no time for today.
College life has been going pretty good besides the long days. Today was a 12 hour day as well all because of the fact that I needed to practice after school, from like 7:00-8:30, some Anderson Double-Tounging Etude, easy C Minor Etude, but throw in a double tounge and you got a work out for your throat.
I talked to my flute professor about adding more lesson time and without even a thought she doubled my lesson time, jsut because I asked:-p, reason being we're just going to add a major to my collection. See, Performance majors get twice the time as Education Majors, so I'm now a Music Education, Music Performance, and "Math Major", math being in quotes cuz I don't have any math classes this semester, but i'll surely fit them in next semester.
Flute Ensemble is even more interesting since we split into two groups of 5 for some smaller chamber music rehearsals, "oddly enough" all the freshman got stuck in one group with the upperclassmen in another, coincidence? eh, we got to pick our own groups, but anyway, due to all the "training" I got in high school, I kinda get the upper edge in getting hard parts over the other freshman; however, if I got stuck with upper classmen I'd most likely be playing 5th part:-p, but again anyway lol, I get some lovely kick butt solos and wannabe cadenzas*sp, beautiful I tell you :'(. BTW, audition for Wind Ensemble didn't go as smoothly as I planned, they took place early september but I forgot to write about them. You know you're too nervous to play when they ask you to sight read a piece and you start playing notes in the wrong octave and pitch, not mere accidentals, but seeing a B natural and thinking E-flat...weird...ugh..i'm tired now, I'm going to go to bed, hope to see everyone else again pretty soon, it was quite interesting having lots of people happy to see me for a change, sorry again I couldn't stay long.
