[Medium picks up Rei in her hands and tucks the bird into a mitten before venturing outside. She occasionally glances at the map as she follows the directions to the residence of T. She was worried for him, of course she was, and it seemed to her that Mr. Justice, even if she hadn't met him, was important to Truth, so she decided to make a point to check in on her friend.

Before long, she finds his house and approaches, keeping her baby chicken safely warm.]

T? It's Medium.

[... And so she opens the door, Rei chirping a hello.]

[He pushes the plate away, tensing as the door opens, but relaxing when he realizes who it is.]

Hey.

[A few seconds to register the chirp, and he walks back and closes his bedroom door, shutting Diego in.]

[Medium waits until the door is closed before allowing Rei-ichi-ichi to get a look around the room, still in Medium's mitten.]

Hey. He's... going to come back, right?

[She shifts slightly. The idea seems incredibly silly, even to her. Was there something she could do, maybe? Her name sticks out in her mind as a plan, but she dismisses the idea. She doesn't even know what her name means. How could that be helpful?]

[He nods, trying to swallow the lump in his throat when he speaks.]

Yeah, he is.

[He closes his eyes for a second, taking in a deep breath.]

[She goes over and reaches out with her spare hand, still holding her baby chicken to her chest.]

I'm sure he will. Let's... have some ice cream. Or, hey, have you met Rei?

[She attempts a comforting smile while holding up her mitten in an attempt to get his mind off the death.]

[He's about to reply that he doesn't have any ice cream, when she suggests something else.

He peers into the mitten, the small bird chirping at him.]

Oh, hey. He's cute.

[Medium smiles at Truth, and looks down, her face something along the lines of a mother hen. Rei chirrups at Truth, blinking her wide orange eyes.]

Isn't she? I wonder what sort of chicken she is to be blue, huh? Prongs thought she might be sick, but she's been blue since I got her...

Maybe she's just different.

[He pets the top of her head lightly]

[She looks indignant. And if she wasn't holding the chick, her hands would have been balled, lifted near her cheeks.]

Of course she is! She's a blue chicken!

[As with all her fits, the girl calms down and gave a thoughtfull look.]

I found her outside my home. She just looked so lonely... [Tears began to sparkle] I just couldn't leave her!
