It is a bit of a quieter Christmas this year, isn't it? But I suppose that's nice enough, too, in its own way. I still have a few gifts to deliver yet, but it's not too terribly cold, and Valor's pleased for the exercise anyway.
That may very well be it. I can't fathom trying to do something more elaborate than that--not any time in the near future, at least. It was quite remarkable, I quite agree.
I suppose you'll both be rather easy to find then.

We're having dinner, of course, but with everyone all split up, I thought it might just be easier to do all the cooking first and then take some around to everyone, rather than trying to, er, get everyone all in the same place at once. And besides, it's so rare that Miss Saya has friends over at all that I want to give her the chance to spend some time with them on her own, without a lot of extra bustle on my part.
You are having something nice to eat today, even if you're not having a great big dinner, aren't you?
You are rather inclined to bustle, if I may say so. Perhaps it would be easier to visit rather than to try and gathered everyone together at once. Is that why you're out making deliveries on Christmas Day?
You needn't worry for my sake. I won't starve.
[Of course, he'll find out later that HWK has provided a bit of dinner ;~;]

Oh, I always do a little bit of visiting today; that was tradition back home in Daventry, too. But yes, that's part of it, I'll admit--keeping things quiet in the Warehouse for Miss Saya and her friends, and still getting to see everyone I want to while I'm at it.
I know you won't starve, but that's not quite the same as having something nice, is it?
Then I suppose everything has worked out for the best: you can visit and she can have a little quiet. You were still busy with baking before, I expect.

Oh, yes. And more than I'd expected, really! Most everyone in the Warehouse likes sweets, too, so I've had to keep extra on hand to make sure there's enough for everyone.
Well, I won't worry about you. But I will bring you something if you want it, and it won't be a bit of trouble at all.

Oh, she doesn't, but Mr. Blonde certainly does, and Miss Carla does, too, even though she was only staying with us for a few days. Come to think of it, did I tell you that Miss Saya was having guests in the Warehouse lately? There've been a few extra people around for the past few weeks.
Well, I have to bring your gift, at least! And I'd be glad to stay and talk a bit, too, since...well, I rather think we ought to, soon.
I believe you made some mention of it, but I had no idea it was quite so many as that. I hope all is still pleasant enough in the Warehouse despite so many guests.
I suppose there is that. And I do believe I have something I should like to give to you, as well. Of course, when you say we ought to talk like that it does make me a little nervous.

Oh, it is! It's nice to have the company, and most everyone keeps to themselves quite nicely, too, so there's never trouble. And I've been back and forth, anyway, checking on Edmund, so it's never been a bother.
It's nothing to be nervous about, it's just...well, forward though it may be to assume, I just think you could use someone to talk to lately, that's all.
It seems as though it must almost be pleasant to have others in the house--so to speak--but to have them all so entertained already. It seems quite a good arrangement to me.
I see. Then, if I am in need of someone to talk to, I should much prefer it to be you than someone else.

I've not heard much of Valor of late. I'm glad to hear he's well.

And he is, thank you. He got a new harness with bells for his Christmas gift, and he's absolutely delighted with them.

[Well done, HWK. Well done.]

Strictly speaking, I suppose it isn't.

You needn't bring me anything, but I would be glad to see you.
