Good game
This evening has been great! For tonight was the evening that no fewer than 21 people turned up to play board games at the gaming group I'm involved with. Well, I think there were 21. To be honest I found it hard to keep track.
Since I took the decision to start promoting the group a bit more by putting up a few posters and setting up Facebook and Twitter pages and the like, we did attract a few extra people. Typically we'd get maybe ten people (or thereabouts) turning up each week, although sometimes it'd be more and sometimes it'd be less. Up until tonight though our biggest attendance was 14. But now we've smashed that with 21. Six of those were complete newcomers!
I don't know what happened tonight to cause us to be so popular, nor do I know whether we'll ever get so many turning up again. But I'm hopeful that this is the start of more lively and generally busier Tuesday evenings. Although it was actually a struggle to fit us all comfortably in the room, and if we get many more people coming along we might have to find a bigger venue!

However, exciting as it was to have 21 enthusiastic gamers in one room this evening, it still wouldn't be enough to open all the boxes on Deal or No Deal. Gavin was today's player of that game, and in between his tears he won £18,000.
